The 2 Minute Foundation HQ Bude, England
Thursday 16 July • 6:30 PM – 9 PM
What’s happening with climate and nature, and what does it mean for everyday life in the UK?
Join us for a community screening of the People’s Emergency Briefing, a powerful new film bringing together leading UK scientists, experts and public voices to explain the latest evidence on climate and nature, and why it matters to all of us.
Covering topics including extreme weather, food security, health, energy, the economy and national resilience, the film provides a clear and accessible overview of the challenges we face and the opportunities for positive change.
Based on the National Emergency Briefing held in Westminster and featuring contributions from Chris Packham, Deborah Meaden and a range of expert speakers, the film explores how climate and nature breakdown are already affecting communities across the UK, and what can be done in response.
The National Emergency Briefing is a non-partisan initiative supported by a wide range of organisations, including the Royal Meteorological Society, WWF, the Church of England and the National Trust, with the aim of helping the public better understand the realities of the climate and nature emergency.
Following the screening, there will be an opportunity for informal discussion about what the issues raised mean for Bude and the surrounding area, and to explore practical ways we can take positive action locally.
Everyone is welcome.
