We’ve officially launched a Crowdfunder to help support Cup Club Bude — Cornwall’s first ever returnable cup scheme, starting this October at Crooklets Beach Cafe.

Why we need your support

As a newly set-up CIC (Community Interest Company), every penny we raise goes straight back into the community. To make Cup Club Bude a success, we need funds to:

• Print posters, stickers and point-of-sale materials to spread the word.
• Run local marketing and engagement so residents and visitors know how the scheme works.
• Cover the costs of additional cup “top-ups” as demand grows.
• Build a dedicated website to keep the community updated and involved.

With your help, we can make sure the pilot launches strong and has the best chance of becoming a permanent solution for Bude — and a model for other Cornish towns.

How Cup Club works

It’s simple:

1. Borrow your takeaway drink in a Cup Club cup for a £1 deposit.
2. Enjoy it — at the beach, on the go, wherever.
3. Return your cup, get your deposit back, or borrow another.
